Welcome to our new website! Whether you are a parent or carer of a child who is already at Bardsey Primary or considering our school for your child in the future, we hope that you will find all of the information you need here.
Our school is set in beautiful countryside in the heart of the village of Bardsey in between North Leeds and Wetherby. The school has been on this site for just over 60 years and has provided an excellent education for many children during that time, coming not only from Bardsey village, but also from many of the surrounding villages such as Collingham, East Keswick, Scarcroft, Harewood and Wike.
At Bardsey our priority is to develop the whole child. We encourage our children to work hard and strive to achieve in everything they do through a safe, nurturing environment where caring for others is expected by every pupil and staff member. All of our children are encouraged to develop as individuals. Their particular talents are recognised and they are taught to rise to a challenge and to increase independence in all of their learning experiences. Our academic achievements are high but we see it equally important that our children are happy at school and enjoy being part of school life.
As the new Headteacher of Bardsey Primary School, I see a very bright future ahead. The teachers are extremely talented, dedicated to their role as educators, as well as being great fun and supportive to their pupils and colleagues. The pupils are sensible, very able, display great talent in a wide range of areas and receive huge amounts of encouragement and love from their families.
I sincerely hope you enjoy browsing these pages and look forward to working closely with you in the future.
Mrs Sally Clark
