ABOUT BARDSEY PRIMARY SCHOOL

Welcome to the website of Bardsey Primary School and thank you for your interest in us. We aim to be an inspiring school that develops happy, rounded children with a love for learning, underpinned by our values, Respect, Kindness and Effort.

It is a great privilege for me to lead such a wonderful school now and I am aiming to build on the success of previous years. Our incredible staff are a dedicated, hard-working team who have the child at the centre of everything we do. The teaching staff ensure that the children here are given the best possible learning experiences. We are always looking at ways in which we can develop and improve our school so we can offer the pupils here a rich, varied and broad learning experience.

The school sits proudly looking over the picturesque Yorkshire countryside with views in the distance to The Dales and in the other direction to The Moors. Around the school are some wonderful grounds which enables learning to take place outside of the classroom in a more practical manner. Our Journey Through Time Project is a valuable learning resource which reflects some of the varied houses that people have used through history.

I hope you find our website useful and I look forward to welcoming you to our school soon.

Best Wishes,

M. J. Knight

Acting Headteacher
