HOME LEARNING YEAR 4

Hello Year 4 Children and Parents,

This is our class home learning page where you will find work to do if you are not in school. Unfortunately, it is understood that over the coming weeks and months children may have to take time off if they or someone in their family develops COVID symptoms or are waiting for a test result. If this happens, please don't worry! The work available on this page should keep you busy until you can safely return to school.

There will be interactive lessons where you can stop and pause and carry out work in the videos above. these will be updated at regular intervals to support the children's learning and give a more personal touch to their learning.

Maths

Children working at home should follow the schemes of work which can be found on the White Rose Maths website. The schemes broadly follow the work which we will be doing in school and videos are available on the site each week that compliment the lessons. Answers are included for each worksheet in the folder. These are found on the tabs below.

English

There will be resources that the children can access as stand alone lessons that relate closely to the Y4 curriculum, as well as video lessons to support there their learning too. They be lessons from me or recognised government sites specially designed for Home Learning if/when the needs arise. This is to give your child various options and styles to learn from. Any work completed in class will again be made available on this platform.

Topic/ Other Lessons.

Again various platforms will be available where children can access work in a variety of different ways and there may be specific challenges set for the children to complete.

Feedback and marking

At present please email any complete work to our class email at year4@bardseyprimary.org.uk where I will respond with feedback. We are currently looking in to other ways of making feedback easier and we will let you know when we have a whole school system in place shortly.

Don't forget to keep checking this page to see any changes!

Many thanks,

Mr Hackworth
